Head Coach Nate Alger and the Trojan Softball team are still flying high following their improbable come-from-behind District Championship victory over Marquette, 4-3, in Alpena on Saturday. After knocking off West, 7-2, earlier in the day, the Trojans were down to Marquette, 3-1, in the bottom of the 7th inning with two outs and an 0-2 count on junior, Sarah Ullom. Ullom pulled through big time with a clutch double, followed by two more Trojan doubles, and then the game-winning single by senior, Haley McDonald, for the thrilling 4-3 victory!

The District title is the first in school history for the Trojans.

The Trojans now travel to Saginaw Heritage on Saturday, June 10, to face Swartz Creek in the Regional Semifinal at 12:00 PM. The winner will face the winner of the other Regional Semifinal game between Davison and Midland at 2:00 PM.

GO TROJANS!
