Trojans News · Trojan Athletes of the Week for September 28, 2018

Congratulations to our first Trojan Athletes of the Week for the 2018/19 school year… Ted Roe from the Boys Cross Country Team & Sydney Irwin from the Trojan Cheer Team!

Head Boys Cross Country Coach, Mr. Bryan Burns, had this to share about Ted…
Ted is one of our 3 captains, a National Merit Semi-Finalist, and one of our top 7 runners. Last weekend we ran at the Cougar Falcon Invitational.  We had teams in 3 races.  After each race, Ted cooled down with the respective teams to make sure that they did what we (coaches) wanted them to do and to make sure they got it down in a timely manner. He really emphasized running with the younger kids. This really sums up Ted as a captain–he puts the team first always, looks out for the others, and is very aware of his role and how important it is to always be a positive role model. There is no better young man to exemplify than Ted as he works hard in the classroom and in his running and skiing.
Trojan Cheer Coach, Ms. Alisha Baker, had these words to share about Sydney..
Sydney is new this year to Trojan Cheer. From the very first practice, Sydney has been a pillar member of our team. Not only does she excel at her sport, but her kindness and willingness to work hard inspire her coaches and teammates. Her positive energy and smile are something we look forward to at every team event. Welcome to the team Sydney!

Congratulations Ted and Sydney on this special recognition from your coaches!
